PLANAR AND VOLUMETRIC FORMS

Intersection and Rhythm are the two key principles I explored through my Planar and Volumetric forms. My intentions were to utilise crossing and converging elements in my forms. I used cutouts, as windows, to draw the eye inside the form to expose the intersections, joins and shadows. The regular recurrence of the cut-out lines inside the planar form and the cutouts on all my parallel trapezium sections on my volumetric form create a strong sense of Rhythm.

In the presentation drawing I explored the use of orthographic drawings, detailed, nets and exploded shots to emphasise the different components coming together to complete my forms.
